It’s often hard to find a conference geared to parents of special needs children and teens, not to mention the near-impossibility of finding one focused on homeschooling special needs kids. Not any more: join over 20 speakers during the first ever Homeschooling Special Needs Online Conference as they present over 30 sessions on autism, ADHD, apraxia, and more.

Featuring keynotes from renowned autism advocate Temple Grandin, homeschooling encourager Durenda Wilson, and sessions from powerhouse special needs homeschooling educators Peggy Ployhar, Judi Munday, Heather Laurie, and more, this conference will encourage and inspire homeschooling parents of special needs children and teens.

The conference will launch on Tuesday, July 21, 2020. Participants will receive LIFETIME access to all the sessions and keynotes, plus coupons, printables, and freebies in the digital swag bag, and access to a private social media group. For more info, or to register, click here. Registration is only $22!

My Sessions

FOSTERING INDEPENDENCE IN YOUR ADHD CHILD

Are life skills in your lesson plan? Homeschooling offers the time and the freedom to ensure that your children leave your nest prepared to not only survive but to thrive as adults. As a mom with ADHD myself I have developed many strategies for coping with the challenges that are created when you have an ADHD brain. This session will include practical tips and techniques for encouraging independence in children with  ADHD.

HOMESCHOOLING YOUR ADHD CHILDREN (WHILE MAINTAINING YOUR SANITY)

Homeschooling children with special needs and challenges can be a fantastic alternative to the norm of sending children to school to receive an education and special services such as specific therapies. Join Sharon for an open and honest talk about why she is homeschooling her children with ADHD, how she encourages a lifelong love of learning in her children and how she makes time to care for herself as well.

Why attend an online conference for special needs?

Time. We have so very little of it in each day, right?!? Why would we add ONE MORE THING to our list of  things “to do?” Here are a few reasons to join in!

  •  Self Care- Seriously, put on your oxygen mask first so you can care for those you love! This conference will breathe life into you and your homeschool.
  • Continued Education- We are always researching new ways to help our precious children. There will be lots of new things to learn!
  • Comradery- there is a Facebook group for attendees. You do not need to go it alone.
  • Networking- You may meet someone that can help you on your journey, but you also may be just the right person to help someone else on their journey.
  • Add to your toolbox! We all have our own toolbox full of tips, tricks, strategies, and knowledge. It is always good to add to it.
  • Encouragement! This is one of the most important things for me. I need to be encouraged. It is a marathon that we are on. Take time to soak in some great encouragement.

Closing Thoughts

In this ever changing world, it is so important to keep our eyes on what the Lord has given us to steward, our children. I pray that you would be able to take part in this great conference and be encouraged, uplifted, and strengthened for the road ahead. To God be the glory!
